  • Pump, motor, belt, bearing and element replacement
  • Control board, sensor and wiring loom fault-finding

Common problems

Symptoms and what usually causes them

Appliance won't start
Door interlock, control board fault or a tripped safety thermostat.
Water not draining
Blocked pump filter, kinked hose or a failed drain pump.
Excessive noise or vibration
Worn bearings, loose counterweights or an unlevel machine.
Not heating
Failed element, thermal cut-out or a control relay that has burned out.
Error codes
Sensor or communication fault — the code narrows it down, but it still needs verification.
Leaking water
Perished door seal, cracked hose or a blocked overflow path.
Preventative maintenance

Keep it running, avoid the callout

  • Clean washing machine and dishwasher filters monthly
  • Run a hot maintenance wash with cleaner every 6–8 weeks
  • Clear dryer lint after every load and vent ducting annually
  • Wipe door seals dry and leave doors ajar between uses
  • Degrease rangehood filters every month
  • Vacuum fridge condenser coils twice a year

Why choose RapidFix Solutions

Licensed, insured local technicians who quote before they work, carry common parts on the van and explain exactly what failed. We service Melbourne homes and businesses six days a week, with emergency attendance available after hours.

Our process

How a RapidFix job runs

01

Book & triage

Tell us the brand, symptoms and address. We ask the right questions up front so the correct parts are on the van.

02

On-site diagnosis

A full electrical, mechanical and performance check — not just the obvious fault. You get a plain-English explanation.

03

Approved repair

We quote before we work. Nothing is replaced without your say-so, and we use manufacturer-approved components.

04

Test & handover

Performance tested, readings recorded, work area cleaned, and maintenance advice so the same fault doesn't return.

Residential services

All appliance work is carried out in your home wherever possible. We protect flooring, move appliances carefully, and only take a unit away when a workshop repair is genuinely required.

Commercial services

We also repair laundry and kitchen appliances for small businesses, Airbnb operators and property managers, with invoicing and reporting suited to managed properties.

What our customers say

Trusted by Melbourne households and businesses

Reviews collected from customers across the northern, western and eastern suburbs.

5.0 average from Google reviews

Our ducted heater dropped out on the coldest week of the year. RapidFix came the next morning, found a failed ignition probe and had the house warm again before lunch.
Daniel M.Pascoe Vale
Two split systems serviced and one re-gassed. Clear pricing up front, drop sheets down, and they showed me the pressure readings before and after.
Priya S.Brunswick
Our under-bench fridge failed on a Saturday. They talked us through keeping stock cold, arrived within a few hours and replaced the condenser fan on the spot.
Marco D.Coburg
Washing machine wouldn't drain. Honest advice — a pump repair instead of pushing us into a new machine. That's why we keep their number.

FAQs

Appliance Repairs questions we're asked most

Do you charge a callout fee?

We quote a diagnostic attendance fee up front when you book, and it's credited toward the repair if you proceed. No surprises on the invoice.

Can you repair European brands?

Yes — Bosch, Miele, Smeg and Electrolux appliances are a regular part of our work, along with Fisher & Paykel, Westinghouse, LG, Samsung, Haier and Hisense.

When should I replace instead of repair?

As a rough guide, if the repair cost approaches half the price of a comparable new appliance and the unit is past two-thirds of its expected life, replacement usually wins. We'll give you both numbers.

How long do repairs take?

Most in-home repairs are completed within the one visit. Where a part must be ordered, we typically return within a few business days.
