Appliances don't usually die of old age. They die of neglect, overloading and blocked airflow.
Airflow and drainage are everything
Dryers need clear lint filters and unobstructed venting. Fridges need clean condenser coils and clearance behind the cabinet. Dishwashers need a clear filter and drain. Nearly every premature failure we see involves one of these being blocked.
Stop overloading
Overloaded washers wear bearings and suspension. Overloaded dishwashers block the spray arms and lead to rewashing, which doubles the cycles the machine runs across its life.
Attend to small faults early
A slightly noisy bearing, a door seal that no longer grips, a slow drain — these are inexpensive fixes now and expensive failures later. Small problems in appliances almost never resolve themselves.
Keep the manuals and model numbers
Having the model and serial number ready when you book a repair means we can bring the right part on the first visit. Photograph the compliance plate and store it on your phone.
